ABOUT KELLY DAMIAN

Kelly Damian was born in Omaha, NE, and grew up in a small town 15 miles outside of the city. Being raised in the small community of Fort Calhoun, and still being close to the city, gave her room to grow while staying grounded in small-town values. After graduating high school, Kelly began studying at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Kelly had worked in floral design throughout her high school and early college days.

Kelly returned to Omaha after college graduation to be close to family, and there began her career in landscape design. It was there that she met her husband, Antonio, a native of Campeche, Mexico. Simultaneously, she began learning Spanish as a second language. Kelly and her husband moved to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, in February of 2009. As the climate and economic health are vastly different from that to which she was accustomed, Kelly began working in the tourism industry

Soon after their arrival to Playa, Kelly and her husband began attending a church now known as Life Change Ministries. It was there that they met and became friends with Pastor Christian “Chris” Carballo. In early 2015, Chris had a need for a bilingual associate in performing wedding ceremonies and, thus, invited Kelly to begin working with him. This new venture rekindled Kelly’s passion for weddings, originally founded by her work as a floral designer, and gave her the chance to broaden her career experience in this area

Since that time, Kelly has performed numerous weddings and vow renewal ceremonies and has even, on occasion, lent her knowledge of floral design to the last-minute arrangements of a ceremony. Affording her more free time, Kelly has additionally become an educator in an academic ministry, fulfilling her calling to mentor the next generation
